Description

Książka z serii Wydziału Zarządzania AGH

The monograph consists of three parts. The first is devoted to the problems of management of economic processes at both micro and macro. One of chapters of the monograph examines the sensitivity of enterprises to the financial crisis. This thread deserves attention because national businesses continues to suffer losses as a result of the crisis, which began back in 2008. The conclusions of the study will determine the sensitivity of the economic sectors to the deteriorating economic situation. An attempt was made to answer the question – how much decline in stock prices (for example, companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange) is based on the actual deterioration of the economic situation, and how much is related to the stock market investor moods. In addition, ways to increase revenue for the shareholders of joint stock companies are examined in the parts. In particular, compares the two approaches: either by increasing dividend payments, either by increasing the share capital of the company. New approach to Value-Based Management has been proposed, including analysis algorithm, providing the most complete picture of the development prospects of the company. Methodical recommendations for making decisions (based on the expectations of owners and portfolio investors) for investment are also proposed. To increase the market value of the competence of its employees are no less important. One of the chapters of the monograph describes the role of the coach in the development of employee competencies. Among other things, tasks, skills, and competencies they should have an effective coach are indicated. Different approaches to the problem of knowledge and experience in the development of employees are also described.
Much attention is also paid to the problems of development of small and mediumsized enterprises, including in Poland and Ukraine. Status and prospects of the development of the fuel and energy sector in Ukraine are also examined. Furthermore, analysis of the impact of the green certificate price (listed on the Polish Power Exchange) on the economic viability of projects in the field of wind energy has been carried out.
The second part describes the various mathematical methods used in the management of economic processes. The first method is based on the bisection surface determinant, the rational surface determinant and the real surface determinant, for arbitrary functions defined on a closed rectangle. This method can be used to study the function describing the economic and financial phenomenon. Another method, Delayed Feedback Control method has been applied to a generalized Cournot-Puu model of oligopoly. The model describes the behavior of oligopolistic market participants wishing to market equilibrium in the sector. The monograph also contains results of the application of the inverse calculation of the fuzzy reasoning, which can be used in the decision of an economic nature.
Next studies are based on econometric modeling. In particular, model the relationship between assets and liabilities in an industrial company and return on equity (for example, Russian ferrous metallurgy) was built. Two methods of model construction is proposed: the first is related to working capital and short-term liabilities of enterprises, the second is related to the presentation of the balance sheet of enterprises in the matrix form. Another section is also devoted to the economic and mathematical modeling. Impact of government regulation (for entry into the business) on the creation of new businesses was examined at work, using structural equations model of latent variables. The model is based on data from international organizations such as the Doing Business Index and World Bank statistics.
The third part – it's research in the field of process management in terms of technical and technological. This part of the monograph contains a chapter examining the QWERTY keyboard adaptation to the specifics of the Polish language. The next chapter presents a method of technical recirculation in general, in order to present the main stages. The universal nature of the proposed solutions, which can exist in harmony with technological progress and allows to collect data from the recirculation process is presented. The next chapter presents a method of rational set of machines in selected manufacturing company. Processes for specific products (including their annual demand from the market) were analyzed in order to find a solution. Another scientific study is an analysis of the geared motor assembly process using the method of value stream mapping. Based on the analysis of the current state map was developed future state map, which proposed changes in selected areas, and estimated the benefits of these changes.
Given the role of energy as well as the general attitude of the world economy on environmental protection the energy source are of particular importance. In this context, further studies on ways to promote investment projects related to clean coal technologies become important. Such methods may be crucial for some companies with strategic decisions related to project management. This paper focuses primarily on projects based on coal. Besides, the problems of managing information security system in corporate networks were studied in this part of the monograph. This problem is of great importance for many companies in times of informatization and computerization.
